Batman travels to Japan to recruit Mr. Unknown, a Japanese crimefighter, for his fight against evil. Unfortunately, Batman and Catwoman find Mr. Unknown dead, after having been attacked by Lord Death Man in the basement hideout of his Comic Shop. As it turns out, a young man named Jiro witnessed the killing of Mr. Unknown, leading Lord Death Man to threaten Jiro by taking his friend Misaki hostage in his apartment. Batman and Catwoman arrive on the scene shortly after Lord Death Man is shot by Jiro, and Misaki is dropped into a watery death trap. Catwoman plunges in after Misaki to save her, but will she escape the giant octopus trap before her?
